Request your
couples carrier check.

Four short steps. It takes about two minutes, and nothing is charged until you've seen your options and approved a price.

STEP 1 OF 4

What it is, in plain English

Everyone carries a few silent genes. They're harmless to you. But if you and your partner happen to carry the same one, your baby could get a copy from each of you, and that's when a serious condition can show up.

A carrier check tests you both and tells you, as a couple, whether you share any of these silent genes. It covers hundreds of conditions at once, like cystic fibrosis, spinal muscular atrophy, sickle cell disease and thalassemia.

Being a carrier is normal. Most people carry at least one condition and are perfectly healthy. What matters is whether you both carry the same one.

What your result looks like
MOST COUPLESNo shared condition found ✓

You don't carry any of the same conditions on the panel, so your chance of having a child with one of them is very low.

ABOUT 1 TO 4 IN 100 COUPLESYou both carry the same condition

Each pregnancy has a 1 in 4 chance of being affected. A genetic counselor walks you through your options, and there are several.
